REVIEW OF ‘MAKE ME: A JACK REACHER NOVEL’ BY LEE CHILD

Stephen King calls Jack Reacher “the coolest continuing series character”—and now he’s back in this masterly new thriller from #1 New York Times bestselling author Lee Child.

“Why is this town called Mother’s Rest?” That’s all Reacher wants to know. But no one will tell him. It’s a tiny place hidden in a thousand square miles of wheat fields, with a railroad stop, and sullen and watchful people, and a worried woman named Michelle Chang, who mistakes him for someone else: her missing partner in a private investigation she thinks must have started small and then turned lethal.

Reacher has no particular place to go, and all the time in the world to get there, and there’s something about Chang . . . so he teams up with her and starts to ask around. He thinks: How bad can this thing be? But before long he’s plunged into a desperate race through LA, Chicago, Phoenix, and San Francisco, and through the hidden parts of the internet, up against thugs and assassins every step of the way—right back to where he started, in Mother’s Rest, where he must confront the worst nightmare he could imagine.

Walking away would have been easier. But as always, Reacher’s rule is: If you want me to stop, you’re going to have to make me.

Praise for Make Me

“Lee Child’s Reacher series has hit Book No. 20 with a resounding peal of wisecracking glee. Everything about it, starting with Reacher’s nose for bad news, is as strong as ever. . . . The big guy’s definitely on the upswing. The guy who writes about him is too.”—Janet Maslin, The New York Times

“Superb . . . Child’s complete command of the story makes this thriller work brilliantly.”Publishers Weekly (starred review)

“The reigning champ ups the ante. . . . Yes, there’s breakneck action, but what gives this one its zing is the multilayered plot. . . . The beguiling Chang offers a new treat for series fans as well, and a surprise at the end will keep readers short of breath until the next installment begins.”Booklist (starred review)

“This series remains as compulsively readable as ever. Child is a master of pacing, stretching out the mystery through short chapters that give rise to bursts of well-choreographed violence. . . . Of course, the biggest strength is Reacher himself: impassive, analytical, secretly romantic, and relentlessly honorable. It’s impossible not to root for him. . . . Reacher is still going strong. Will satisfy fans—and newcomers, too.”Kirkus Reviews

Praise for #1 bestselling author Lee Child and his Jack Reacher series

“Reacher is the stuff of myth. . . . One of this century’s most original, tantalizing pop-fiction heroes.”—The Washington Post

“[A] feverishly thrilling series . . . with Child, you can always count on furious action.”—The Miami Herald

From the Hardcover edition. When I was youthful, heading off to the Catholic church  services, I felt that holy messengers were genuine physical creatures that could show up whenever, that paradise was the same amount of a physical spot similar to my grandmother's home. Through the span of my life, my perspectives have changed a lot.... in any case, what made They Who Fell so fascinating is that he took that thought of the blessed messengers being genuine physical creatures and kept running with it and made an unbelievably holding story!

This book has two stories that converge into one.... one story is a young lady named Jana that lives in a tower for the blessed messengers. She is a slave, just like the various people who dwell there. While she is serving the blessed messengers we get the chance to see altogether different sides of them. What's more, much the same as people, there appear to be some of them that are great and some that are detestable. Be that as it may, Jana has been prepared to do what she is advised to manage without inquiry, and she has a little insubordinate streak in her. Her story as she becomes more acquainted with two or three the holy messengers was bolting. The first occasion when she saw a greenery enclosure and the stars was my most loved scene....

The other story spoke the truth a gathering of people that are set for murder the holy messengers that have butchered and subjugated humankind... battling their way over the area while they plot to take every one of them out.

This was a truly one of a kind story and truly amusing to peruse. The consummation was completely epic and left you truly needing more. I will be watchful for additional from this author
